I’m Katja, the photographer behind Studio LempiKuva and a mother of two little girls. Maternity photography is very close to my heart — I aim to capture the tenderness of pregnancy and the atmosphere of expectation with a genuine, calm approach. Our small, cozy studio in Vantaa’s Koivukylä is designed to keep the session unhurried and tailored to your needs. I approach maternity sessions softly and naturally: my goal is to create images that feel like you today and will still feel true in years to come. In the studio I use soft lighting, simple backgrounds and a selection of loan wardrobe so the images stay timeless and focus on the connection between you and your story. You’re welcome to wear your own clothes or choose from studio dresses — I always plan the session together with you to match your wishes and comfort. The session progresses calmly and personally. Before the shoot we’ll discuss your preferences and style so I can prepare props and wardrobe that suit you. During the session I encourage natural movement, I honour quiet moments and I give space to emotions — often the most beautiful images appear in gentle, everyday interactions. After the session you’ll receive an electronic preview gallery for selecting your favourites, and I carefully retouch the selected images before final delivery. As a photographer I combine a soft visual language with a warm, relaxed atmosphere. Being a mother myself, I understand how important it is to create a safe, respectful and reassuring environment for an expectant parent. I offer personal service and the flexibility of a small business — I want the session to feel, at times, like a small moment of rest in everyday life.
