I’m Petra — a mother, storyteller, and a maternity photographer based in Sibbo/Sipoo. Pregnancy is a unique time full of anticipation, emotion and small moments I want to help you preserve in photographs. My own experience of motherhood and everyday life with young children is at the heart of my work: I’m drawn to moments you can return to again and again. In my maternity photography I focus on capturing an authentic, natural atmosphere. My style is documentary and warm — I look for small details, touches, looks and the curve of the body that tell more about the pregnancy than posed positions ever could. I want you and your loved ones to feel safe and relaxed in front of the camera; I give gentle guidance and encourage presence so the images arise naturally. My working approach is personal and clear: the first contact is a conversation about your wishes and the location so the session feels true and comfortable for you. On the day of the shoot I create a calm, encouraging atmosphere — laughter, presence and immersion in the moment. The session can take place outdoors, at home or in a location of your choice in Uusimaa and the Sipoo area. The result is images that tell your story exactly as it is. I value sensitivity and attention to detail: the curve of the belly, hands on the bump, baby’s kicks — these small moments become powerful, touching photographs. I carefully edit the images to preserve the mood and natural feel. It’s important to me that the photos feel like you and that you can display them at home as a reminder of this special time.
