I’m Siru Danielsson, a maternity photographer based in Munkkiniemi and a mother of two. Maternity photography is a special calling for me: I want to help expecting mothers pause and celebrate one of life’s turning points with beautiful, authentic images. I primarily work in a lifestyle approach — photographing intimate, natural moments in the light of your home or outdoors in locations that matter to you. Why choose me as your maternity photographer? I studied photographic art and have documented many families’ everyday lives; in my images the feeling and the story matter more than forced posing. As a mother myself, I understand the sensitivity of pregnancy and know how to shape the session so you can be yourself — present and at ease. How do I work? Before the session we go through your wishes and I can help with location and wardrobe choices if needed. The shoot is relaxed and gently guided: we look for natural moments, details and expressions that tell your personal pregnancy story. I use a lot of natural light to create a soft, timeless mood. We can do a home session for more intimate and everyday shots, or an outdoor session where landscape and light add another layer to the images. Safety and comfort are important to me. I keep session times appropriately short and flexible so you can rest and enjoy the moment. I guide you during the shoot and help create looks that work both as emotional keepsakes and as wall art or albums. After the session I edit and select tones and moods together with you — the goal is timeless, emotive photographs you’ll return to for years. If you wish, I also assist with planning printed products such as albums and wall art.
