I’m Jenni Kollani, a maternity photographer based in Mellunkylä, focusing on pregnancy photography and capturing the unique beauty of expecting parents. My priority is to create a calm, safe and warm environment where the mother-to-be and her partner can be genuinely present — those real moments, emotions and connections are what turn images into treasured memories. My style is natural and intimate: I look for documentary-style yet refined moments where light and poses feel effortless. I photograph both in studio and at home, as each setting has its strengths — the studio offers gentle, controlled lighting and clean styling options, while an at-home session captures the everyday closeness and personal surroundings that make your story unique. I guide you through choices like wardrobe, simple prop selections and positioning so you feel beautiful and comfortable in front of the camera. The photography process I offer is relaxed and client-centred. Before the session we’ll go through your wishes and the mood you want to preserve — whether you prefer soft timeless images, intimate black-and-white portraits, or lightly retouched colour photos. During the shoot I pay close attention to your wellbeing: we’ll take breaks, adjust lighting, and I’ll give gentle posing guidance so the results feel authentic. In post-production I aim to maintain naturalness, enhancing light and feeling without heavy retouching. Maternity photographs are a gift to yourself and your growing family — they mark the in-between moments before your little one arrives and can later be included as part of a family portrait series.
