I’m Laura Lintunen, a self-taught photographer and mother of two working from my home studio in Laajasalo. Maternity photography is a special way for me to document a time that feels both fragile and powerful: the anticipation, the body’s changes, and the beginning of a new chapter for your family. I specialise in maternity photography and approach each session with a gentle, natural mindset — my aim is to capture genuine emotion rather than artificial posing. My style is warm and restrained. I draw inspiration from the calm of nature, the homely atmosphere, and the small everyday moments that tell the story of your family. I photograph in my Laajasalo home studio or on location according to your wishes; a peaceful environment and careful pre-planning are important to me so the expectant mother can feel safe and beautiful. My photography process is always guided by the client: we go through wishes together, discuss wardrobe and location choices, and consider any props you’d like to include. During the shoot I give gentle direction and plenty of space to be yourself — many clients tell me that a conversational, relaxed atmosphere helps them forget the camera’s presence. The result is timeless, intimate images that are easy to love for years to come. It’s good to plan a maternity session during pregnancy — the most suitable time is often the second trimester or late pregnancy, when the bump is well defined and the mother can still move comfortably. I provide personalised service: session time is carefully reserved, the shoot is planned with you, and I deliver the finished images in a digital proof gallery for selection. While my main focus is maternity and family photography, I also photograph children and families — maternity sessions are the ones I most passionately hope to be chosen for.
