I’m Laura, a maternity photographer working in Kaarela, specializing in maternity and expectant‑mother portraits. Pregnancy is a unique time, and my job is to help you pause and capture the emotion, the light and the changes in your body in a way that truly feels like you. My specialty is creating sensitive images that rely on natural light, whether the session takes place in the studio or outdoors. My professional background as a social services practitioner and long experience in infant and family rehabilitation inform how I work: I guide sessions gently, pay close attention to your wellbeing, and listen carefully to your wishes. My photography focuses on sensitivity, light and the bond within the family — which is why my maternity sessions are often calm, atmospheric and tailored to each client. I offer maternity photography at my studio in Maununneva / Kaarela, and I’m also happy to photograph outdoors or in your home if you prefer the everyday environment to be part of the images’ mood. The studio has loan garments available for expectant mothers, and together we can plan outfits and props — ultrasound photos, tiny booties or other meaningful items add a personal touch. If you prefer a more intimate or bohemian style, we can also create boudoir‑inspired maternity images. The session process is clear and flexible: we discuss your wishes in advance, choose the appropriate location and style, and on the shoot day I work calmly and at your pace. Image selection is done in a password‑protected gallery, and each photo is carefully finished before delivery.
