I’m Saana — a mother, wife and photographer based in Järvenpää — and maternity photography is one of my deepest passions. I work from a small studio in the Fox Center, but I also love shooting on location across Järvenpää and its surroundings. My special focus is on maternity sessions: I aim to capture the tenderness of pregnancy, the bond of expectation and the strength of the mother with a genuine, respectful approach. My working style is calm and conversational. I strive to create a relaxed, trusting atmosphere where your body can feel beautiful and the last weeks of pregnancy are remembered with warm images. In the studio I keep a wide selection of props and loaned garments, many of which I’ve sourced from vintage shops and recycling groups — I enjoy giving items a new life and choosing timeless, soft textiles and natural details for the images. Each session is tailored to you: I guide flattering, gentle poses, use soft lighting and simple compositions so that you and your bump remain the focus. I like to highlight the connection with a partner, siblings or the solo expectant mother — sessions can feel intimate, documentary or lightly directed depending on what you want to keep as a memory. I recommend booking your maternity session in the third trimester (around weeks 32–38) so the shapes and comfort are at their best. Booking and enquiries are easy via email or through my website.
