I’m Selina Hiltunen, a maternity photographer based in Hyvinkää, specializing in relaxed and natural pregnancy sessions. As a photographer I approach the expectant period with sensitivity and a focus on authentic emotions. My background includes foundational photography studies at the Pekka Halonen Academy and several years of marketing experience, which show in careful planning and beautifully finished images. As a mother myself, I understand how important a safe, warm and calm atmosphere is for an expectant client — which is why I prioritise a relaxed, trustworthy encounter where you can be yourself. My style is natural and timeless: I use gentle natural light and, when needed, hand lighting to create soft, honest portraits that celebrate the curve of the belly and the mood of the pregnancy. Sessions can take place in my Hyvinkää studio or in your favourite locations throughout the year — rural landscapes, urban nature or the comfort of home all offer their own atmosphere. The studio also has a selection of loan garments to simplify dressing and ensure a harmonious final look. The photography process is calm and client‑led: we arrange a suitable time, plan the session together including wishes and prop choices, and on the day I focus on creating a warm and secure experience. During the shoot we can take breaks, change outfits or move into natural documentary moments — my goal is to capture the unique story of your pregnancy. Sustainability is part of my practice: I use recycled props where possible and prefer working with local Finnish suppliers.
